After 30+ years, Windy City Pizza & BBQ has closed its doors.

Sadly, after 2½ years of dealing with Covid and several other challenges, closing our business is the best option for us. Trish and I are long overdue for retirement! We have taken care of our
great employees and are now helping them seek new positions elsewhere.

For over 30 years we have got to know and serve our many customers, most of whom have become like family to us. We have watched kids grow up, go off to college and return to the area to become adult customers with families of their own. We’ve had sports teams, birthday parties, pre-wedding parties all come to join in the fun at Windy City. We have been very blessed.

Serving everyone in our local community has been a blast! We remember all of you and all of you will be missed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the opportunity to get to know
and serve each of you and for your continued support of our little pizza joint.

We wish you a joyful Holiday Season and, happily, know that we can expect to see many of you in the area as we continue to live locally.

With all our love and sincere thanks for your loyalty and support these many years.

Bob & Trish Yeats

Monday 11/20 10:00AM – Game 11: Chicago Bears vs Atlanta Falcons

From Ronnie:

Hello Bears Fans!

It’s always tough after a loss like Sunday’s against the Lions. The bright spots – our offense is getting better, except for the bad decision Fields made with the pick six. He made up for it with another exciting long run for a touchdown. Cole Kmet has been pretty solid at tight end the past couple of weeks and Mooney is getting into a groove with Fields. Unfortunately, it looks like we will be without Herbert for the next month after being injured late in the 4th quarter, so now Ebner will fill his spot behind Montgomery who’s been getting some hard yards for us. Our defense is a work in progress right now after recent trades of Roqaun and Quinn and losing Mack and Hicks in free agency But bright spots, rookies Brisker and Gordon who are getting important playing time and experience in their first year as Bears and have shown us flashes of what they are becoming. Also Sanborn, who just had a great performance with 12 tackles, two sacks and an interception that unfortunately was called back for a defensive penalty. There is always rain before there is a rainbow Bears fans, we just have to be patient, our future looks bright. Continue reading Monday 11/20 10:00AM – Game 11: Chicago Bears vs Atlanta Falcons

Monday 11/13 10:00AM – Game 10: Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions

From Ronnie:

Hello Bears Fans!

The bad news, our Bears lost to Miami; the good news, it’s clear we have our Quarterback of the future! Fields just won NFC Player of the Week after breaking the record held by Michael Vick for most rushing yards – 178 in a single game by a QB. But he’s also making better decisions with the ball and improving each week along with our whole Offense. We lead the NFL in rushing yards with the three-headed Monster – Montgomery, Herbert and Fields. That’s what we wanted to see going into this season, a good running game and consistency with our passing game. We are competing in these games and fighting to the end, even after trading a couple of key players on Defense. This Sunday we have a home game against division rival, the Detroit Lions, at 10:00am. We need to keep improving and get back in the win column. We all need that…I know I do! The Bears are a team on the rise and we want to keep taking steps forward down the stretch. I’m excited to watch these games and the progress that both our coaching staff and players are making. This Sunday against the Lions in Chicago should be a good game. The Lions are coming off a big win against the Packers and our Bears are gonna come to play in order to stay ahead of the Lions in the division standings. Monday 11/6 10:00AM – Game 9: Chicago Bears vs Dallas Cowboys

From Ronnie:

Hello Bears Fans!

Well if that loss against Dallas wasn’t bad enough I just got an alert that Roquan Smith was traded to the Ravens. Mondays are great when we win but when we lose and then this news, well that just hurts. I understand the business side and the money but damn, he was a great player. Big shoes to fill and now we will see rookies Jack Sanborn and Sterling Weatherford try to fill the void and get their shot to prove they belong in the NFL. Our Bears are back home this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins and our Offense is starting to put points on the scoreboard. Our defense is gonna be the deciding factor in this game. We need them to just play their best football and we will have a shot. It’s gonna be a challenge going against Miami Receivers Hill and Waddle, time for our rookies Brisker and Gordon to step up. Game time is 10:00AM so come on down to Windy City Pizza, home of the Bay Area Bears Fan Club and cheer on our Bears.
