Monday 11/20 10:00AM – Game 11: Chicago Bears vs Atlanta Falcons
From Ronnie:
Hello Bears Fans!
It’s always tough after a loss like Sunday’s against the Lions. The bright spots – our offense is getting better, except for the bad decision Fields made with the pick six. He made up for it with another exciting long run for a touchdown. Cole Kmet has been pretty solid at tight end the past couple of weeks and Mooney is getting into a groove with Fields. Unfortunately, it looks like we will be without Herbert for the next month after being injured late in the 4th quarter, so now Ebner will fill his spot behind Montgomery who’s been getting some hard yards for us. Our defense is a work in progress right now after recent trades of Roqaun and Quinn and losing Mack and Hicks in free agency But bright spots, rookies Brisker and Gordon who are getting important playing time and experience in their first year as Bears and have shown us flashes of what they are becoming. Also Sanborn, who just had a great performance with 12 tackles, two sacks and an interception that unfortunately was called back for a defensive penalty. There is always rain before there is a rainbow Bears fans, we just have to be patient, our future looks bright. Continue reading Monday 11/20 10:00AM – Game 11: Chicago Bears vs Atlanta Falcons
Monday 11/13 10:00AM – Game 10: Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions
From Ronnie:
Hello Bears Fans!
The bad news, our Bears lost to Miami; the good news, it’s clear we have our Quarterback of the future! Fields just won NFC Player of the Week after breaking the record held by Michael Vick for most rushing yards – 178 in a single game by a QB. But he’s also making better decisions with the ball and improving each week along with our whole Offense. We lead the NFL in rushing yards with the three-headed Monster – Montgomery, Herbert and Fields. That’s what we wanted to see going into this season, a good running game and consistency with our passing game. We are competing in these games and fighting to the end, even after trading a couple of key players on Defense. This Sunday we have a home game against division rival, the Detroit Lions, at 10:00am. We need to keep improving and get back in the win column. We all need that…I know I do! The Bears are a team on the rise and we want to keep taking steps forward down the stretch. I’m excited to watch these games and the progress that both our coaching staff and players are making. This Sunday against the Lions in Chicago should be a good game. The Lions are coming off a big win against the Packers and our Bears are gonna come to play in order to stay ahead of the Lions in the division standings. Monday 10/30 10:00AM – Game 8: Chicago Bears @ Dallas Cowboys
From Ronnie:
Hello Bears Fans!
Great win against The Patriots Monday night. By far the best game played by our Bears in all three phases all season. I knew they weren’t about to let Bill Belichick pass our Papa Bear Halas for second most wins all time against us. Wasn’t gonna happen, and like Anna said, “this one is for Virginia,” Papa Bears daughter. I just hope she gets to hoist up her fathers NFC Champs Halas trophy one more time before she leaves this earth. Fun crowd Monday night, thank you for coming down for our last prime time game of the year. It’s all 10:00AM games from here on out starting with this Sunday’s game against Dak and the Dallas Cowboys as Fields and company go on the road wearing the Orange helmets and riding on the momentum of the upset against the Patriots. If we play like we did Monday night we will be back at .500. And right there with the rest of the NFC. Continue reading Monday 10/30 10:00AM – Game 8: Chicago Bears @ Dallas Cowboys
Thursday 10/13 5:15PM – Game 6: Chicago Bears vs Washington Commanders
From Ronnie:
Hello Bears Fans!
Tough loss after a slow start and strong second half. It was good to see our offense play better, that’s what we need to see – improvement every week. We have a short week and play this Thursday night against Washington at home, with Riverboat Ron Rivera coming back to Chicago where he once played and coached. I’m sure he’s going to get his team fired up and ready to play us but I expect our Bears to get back to 500 and win this one at home. It’s going to be odd seeing the Bears wearing the new orange helmets in this game, but it doesn’t matter what they wear only how they play!
Come on down to Windy City Pizza, Home of The Bay Area Chicago Bears Fan Club. Game time is at 5:20pm, on Prime video only so don’t miss the game and get down here for good food, Beer and Bears Football – just like an early Thanksgiving!
We will see you This Thursday night.
Let’s Go Bears! Bear Down!
Thanks, Ronnie D.
From Trish:
Tough loss indeed! Good to see Anne and Edwin on Hershey Kisses distribution though.
Many fans must have been out yesterday enjoying the various Fall festivals and glorious weather – we hope to see you all on Thursday evening.
Go Bears!
Sunday 10/9 10:00AM – Game 5: Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings
From Ronnie:
Hello Bears Fans!
That was a frustrating game to watch, we coulda and shoulda won! The play selection cost us that game, they always say you have to establish the run game to open up the pass game but it works both ways. We can’t be so predictable if we are going to beat our division rival, Minnesota Vikings, this Sunday. They are coming off a win in London after a double-doink missed game tying field goal against the Saints. The Vikings have a solid run game, like the Giants, with Delvin Cook at running back, so our Defense can’t give up as many yards as they did last week. They also have a decent pass game with Cousins at QB. Our O-line is going to need to protect Fields better this week, he was sacked 6 times on Sunday and now we are reshuffling the O-line after Cody Whitehair was injured and put on the IR. Tevin Jenkins played well which was a positive sign. I want to see more of Justin, Mooney and the other receivers this week – we have to put points up in this one in order to win. Division games are the ones we really need to win, so come on down to Windy City Pizza, home of The Bay Area Chicago Bears Fan Club this Sunday and cheer on Da Bears as we go on the road to Minnesota. We’ve got to keep pace in our Division and get this win!
Game time is 10:00am so get here early. Our next two games after the Vikings are night games, first one is a short week on Thursday night, October 13th against Washington at home and then a Monday night game against New England on the 24th. Now all Thursday night games are on Prime Video TV only but Windy City will have the game on so plan for it. And we will be here for the Monday night game, as usual. See all of you this Sunday morning.
Let’s Go Bears! Bear Down!
Thanks, Ronnie D.
From Trish:
Vikings game was depressing enough that I ordered fries with my hot dog!
Was pretty happy when Dan said that he brought in his guitar to accompany the fans in belting out the Fight Song – not to be. Great having Carol and family at Windy City to celebrate her birthday and Dan text’d on Monday to say he quickly re-learned “Happy Birthday.” So we’ll have musical accompaniment in the house for whatever celebration comes our way. Thanks to the fans for always showing up and keeping everyone’s spirits high, regardless of the score.
Let’s go Bears – see you Sunday.
Sunday 10/2 10:00AM – Game 4: Chicago Bears @ New York Giants
From Ronnie:
Hello Bears Fans!
Hello Bears fans! Here we are at 2-1 after beating the Texans last Sunday and gaining the most yards rushing since Walter Payton did it back in ‘84. For those of you not old enough to have seen Walter play, well he really was the best to ever play the running back position. He could block, catch, throw the ball…but most of all he could run! It was a thing of beauty, “Never Die Easy” as he would say. Payton would run you over if you were in his way. I could go on and on about him but what a performance by Herbert after coming in after Montgomery was injured, and thankfully he is day-to-day with an injury that wasn’t too serious. But Herbert was a big reason we won that game along with Roquan Smith’s performance and big interception at the end of the game to set up Santos for the game winning field goal. We Play the New York Giants this Sunday who are also at 2-1 after losing to Dallas Monday night. Another test for our run defense as we face a healthy Barkley at running back this Sunday and Quarterback Daniel Jones, who seems to be playing better this season. We are underdogs Sunday as we go on the road to the Meadowlands which so far has rain in the forecast. I still like our chances and – once Fields finds his groove and the passing game and running game are both doing well – our team will be dangerous to go up against. Defensively the more experience Gordon, Brisker and Robinson get, the more they will help this defense get better.
Sunday’s game is at 10:00am, so come on down to Windy City Pizza, Home of The Bay Area Bears Fan Club since ‘98 and watch our Bears get the W in the Meadowlands! Let’s have another big crowd like last Sunday, great all be together when we get the win.
Let’s Go Bears! Bear Down!
Thanks, Ronnie D.
From Trish:
Great to see so many old fans in the house, enjoying getting reacquainted after two long seasons! Also quite a few new faces, with several recent transplants from Chicago. Having Anne & Edwin back in the alcove, distributing Hershey Kisses at each TD – now that brought a smile😊.
Thanks to everyone who contributed prizes for the table: Matthew, Maggie & Dad, Scott and Ronnie. Did I miss anybody? Loved seeing so many happy winners. Don’t think I’ve ever seen Tom quite so excited as winning the Bears Cornhole set donated by Ronnie. Not enough that Ronnie takes time to select all the prizes for the season, he’s now digging deep in his garage for even more. Go Ronnie – we appreciate all that you do!
Anne & Edwin now hold the record for number of tickets purchased for Dan’s #1 Jersey! Thank you to everyone who bought tickets so far for this special prize – the Windy City team is very grateful.
Let’s go Bears – see you Sunday.
Bear Down! Sunday 9/25 10:00AM – Game 3: Chicago Bears @ Houston Texans

From Ronnie:
Hello Bears Fans!
Those Damn Packers got the best of us again! I will say this…that was a touchdown! The ball just crossed the line – could have been a game changer. I think the refs were from Wisconsin too, all the calls seemed to go against us – I’m just sayin’. When we play the Packers in December the outcome will be different with a big W! Great game by Montgomery, he came to play and it’s always fun to watch when he’s on his game. We are 1-1 and are at home this Sunday playing the Texans, coached by our former coach, Lovie Smith. The Texans have a young QB in Davis Mills who came into the draft with Fields in 2021 and struggled last week holding onto the ball. Let’s hope our Defense continues that trend and Peanut Punches that ball out! Another test for our Defense in the run game with rookie running back, Dameon Pierce, who looks pretty good. We just need to tackle better!
Thank you fans for coming to Windy City Pizza Sunday night, we had a good crowd. Looks like dry weather in Chicago on Sunday, so The Bears Offense should play fast and mix it up a little more, showing us what they’ve got. We need this win! Game time is 10:00a.m. Sunday, so come on down to Windy City Pizza and cheer on our Bears. By the way, good to see Hester, Kreutz, Briggs and Tillman as 2023 Hall of Fame Nominees. Nobody has ever been better than Hester, who was just so exciting to see play. Miss that man – he should get in this year.
See all of you Sunday.
Let’s Go Bears! Bear Down!
Thanks, Ronnie D.
From Trish:
It felt like old times with a full house on Sunday! Big thanks to all of you fans for being in the house – we know it’s tough to make it on Sunday evenings.
Let’s go Bears – see you Sunday.
Bear Down! Sunday 9/18 5:20PM – Game 2: Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers

From Ronnie:
Hello Bears Fans!
Our Bears weathered the first half storm against the 49ers and took over the game in the second half to get the big win…they made my week! Bears looked like they were having fun at the end too, great energy! The message Ryan Poles had for the Bears when he arrived was “And the last thing, the most important piece is we’re gonna take the North and never give it back!” It starts Sunday night against the Packers, time to own Rodgers now! I know it’s on T.V. but come on down to Windy City Pizza so we can all enjoy this one together. I’ve got a good feeling we are going to go into Green Bay and kick some bleep and get it done!
It was great seeing everyone again after two long years. Thanks to Trish and Bob for hosting us since 1998. Wow – time flies! We all appreciated the breakfast foods for the opening game. Always great to see new faces in the house and sad to see fans move away, but the Bears club is going strong and I’m excited to see where our Bears go from here. I look forward to enjoying the season with all of you.
We beat the Niners. Yea! now let’s take care of The Packers Sunday night at 5:20pm.
See you all at Windy City Pizza.
Let’s Go Bears! Bear Down!
Thanks, Ronnie D.
From Trish:
Thanks to all the fans who showed up for the opener – nothing like all being together to see the Bears beat the Niners!
In our fans’ typical generous spirit of camaraderie, we had many great prize additions to the raffle table on Sunday. Big thanks to Cathy (who was at Soldier Field on Sunday), Virgine & Gio (who drive in from Turlock!), and Mario, for donating those terrific prizes. Dan told me last week he was donating the #1 shirt and wanted to raffle it off with proceeds going to the house to help with Windy City’s NFL Sunday Ticket fee (the commercial fee is way more expensive than residential.) No wonder we’ve missed this mid-Western spirit for the past two seasons! So Dan arrived with shirt and his own raffle tickets – ready to go! This is Dan’s project and he’ll be selling tickets at all Sunday morning games for the next several weeks. Please take a photo of your ticket for when we do the drawing. And thanks, Dan, for this great idea.
Go Bears!
Thanks, Trish
2022 Game 1: Chicago Bears vs San Francisco 49ers
What a start to the season! Bear Down!
No strangers to inclement weather, the Bears steamrolled the 49ers in the 2nd half after a slow start and despite a wet, rainy day at Soldier Field. Continue reading 2022 Game 1: Chicago Bears vs San Francisco 49ers
