2019 Game 4: Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings

Wow, what a game. We had SO much fun with all of you yesterday! Thank you to everyone who joined us–the house was so packed we had to bring in tables from the patio.

Let’s do it all again this Sunday when #DaBears take on the Raiders at 10am (doors will open at 9:00am). See you then! 🐻⬇️

2019 Game 3: Chicago Bears vs Washington Redskins

Thank you to everyone who joined us on a school night for Game 3! It was great seeing our Bears beat the Redskins 31-15 and hope to see something similar when they take on the Vikings this Sunday afternoon. Game time is 1:25pm and hope to see you all then! 🐻⬇️

2019 Game 2: Chicago Bears vs Denver Broncos

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the Bears/Broncos game! It was a bit of a nail biter, but #DaBears got the Win despite the “thin air” 😅. We missed the Leno family in the house but was delighted to receive a photo of the Twins with Uncle Charles Leno, Jr. (#72) in Denver.

Looking forward to seeing you all again for Monday Night Football (9/23) when the Bears take on the Redskins in Game 3. 🐻⬇️

2018-2019 Pro Bowl: AFC Pros vs NFC Pros

It was so nice seeing our Bears fans back in the house one more time yesterday–it felt like a proper season wrap-up since we didn’t get to say our goodbyes after the Wild Card game. Ronnie’s cake (pic #2) was the highlight of the Pro Bowl, along with regular customers asking, “Is that the Leno family?” and getting to meet “Momma Leno” as they left (pic #3). We had such a great season with everyone and look forward to even more fun next season!

2018-2019 Playoffs: Wild Card Game Chicago Bears vs Philadelphia Eagles

Yesterday started out very exciting at Windy City, with all our high-energy fans on pins and needles the entire game and looking forward to beating the Eagles with that final kick. The house was full to capacity and we had to drag in wet patio chairs and tables. The alcove fans were troopers with many of them cheerfully eating on their knees as no tables available! A couple of our terrific fans had gifted all Windy City staff with “2018 NFC North Division Champions” T-shirts and we had restocked the raffle table with great prizes…we were ready! Sadly, it wasn’t to be – and we were all left in disbelief in the final minute of the game.

We may have to lick our wounds for a day or so but we’ll be back! What a great 20th season Windy City and our Bears fans had! Thank you for packing the house this season – let’s do it all again next season, shall we? 🐻⬇️

2018 Game 16: Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings

We are ecstatic #DaBears are IN THE PLAYOFFS–what a season! Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday for the last regular game of the 2018-2019 season–We had 80 fans in the house and lots of new faces. The energy was off-the-charts! We’re excited to see the Bears host the Eagles for the Wild Card on Sunday and hope to see you all there 😊🐻⬇️ #BearDown

2018 Game 15: Chicago Bears vs San Francisco 49ers

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday for the Bears vs Niners game–especially as it fell on a busy Holiday weekend. It was great seeing all the new faces in the house! #DaBears have just one game left before playoffs so be sure to join us again this Sunday when they take on the Minnesota Vikings. 🐻⬇️

2018 Game 14: Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers

Yesterday’s 24-17 win over the Packers was one for the books! We all had such a great time cheering on #DaBears and celebrating this much-needed and yearned-for W. Thank you to everyone who joined us–the restaurant was packed and we really enjoyed having the Leno family back in the house, along with Kathy and Gio’s surprise visit from IL 😊. It’s hard to believe there’s only 2 games left before playoffs start. 🐻⬇️ #BearDown

2018 Game 13: Chicago Bears vs LA Rams

Thank you to everyone who came out for the incredible Bears/Rams game–what a win! #DaBears (9-4) are just ONE win away from clinching the playoffs, thanks to their dominant Defense last night. We’re hoping to see this W happen Sunday when they take on the Green Bay Packers (5-7). 🤞🐻⬇️

While we all had a great time at Windy City, the Leno family got to enjoy the game at Soldier Field–which we’re sure was super exciting watching/celebrating IN Windy City! 😁 (See last photo)

Bay Area Chicago Bears Fan Club on Hopes for the 2017 Season

Chicago Bears Fans, take heart. There’s still hope yet for the 2017 Chicago Bears to make a stunning comeback after a lackluster 2016. Let’s take a look at these 4 fearless predictions which will make the Bears an exciting team to watch and cheer for at Windy City Pizza and BBQ this season.

1. Leonard Floyd Gets A Dozen Sacks

Floyd was a first-round pick in the class of 2016, but he has yet to show his complete game. In 2017, Leonard Floyd will prove to everyone that he’s worthy of the Defensive Rookie of the Year title by making more sacks and timely defensive stops.

It all starts with guidance and training under the watchful eye of Pernell McPhee and Bears’ defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio. Floyd will then be known as a feared pass rusher and one of the best 3-4 outside linebackers the NFL has ever seen!

2. Two 1000-Yard Receivers Will Emerge

The Bears produce one of the best receiving corps in the league. It all starts with the veteran experience of Victor Cruz, who was just recently added to the team. His mission? Train Cameron Meredith and Kevin White to be the best they can be. It’s not an outrageous claim that both will be able to churn out 1000 yards apiece in the 2017 NFL season–Meredith and White have what it takes to do that. They are lengthy and fast enough to bypass any defensive lineup.

Third time’s the charm for 2015 first-round draft pick Kevin White. Meredith has already posted 888 yards on the 2016 season and will be out for blood in 2017. This prediction becomes more likely if White is healthy enough to play all 16 games.

3. Jordan Howard Will Be An Elite Rusher

Howard will surpass his total rushing yards last season with the help of a few key pieces, namely Cody Whitehair, Josh Sitton and Kyle Long. If there was anything Howard proved in the 2016 season, it was his innate ability to read the tackle rushing game, posting a record-high 966 yards. It’s safe to say that Howard will be a strong contender for the rushing title this season.

4. The Bears Finish Above .500

The bottom line here is that John Fox has to turn the Bears on its head and bring about great change from the Trestman era. The 2016 Bears had stellar defense when Lovie Smith and Brian Urlacher were released, and it’s up to Fangio and key players, Lamarr Houston and Kyle Fuller, to prove that they still have what it takes to be an elite team.

A strong defensive presence coupled with potent offense from Glennon should be enough to put the Bears over the .500 record.
