Monday 11/13 10:00AM – Game 10: Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions

From Ronnie:

Hello Bears Fans!

The bad news, our Bears lost to Miami; the good news, it’s clear we have our Quarterback of the future! Fields just won NFC Player of the Week after breaking the record held by Michael Vick for most rushing yards – 178 in a single game by a QB. But he’s also making better decisions with the ball and improving each week along with our whole Offense. We lead the NFL in rushing yards with the three-headed Monster – Montgomery, Herbert and Fields. That’s what we wanted to see going into this season, a good running game and consistency with our passing game. We are competing in these games and fighting to the end, even after trading a couple of key players on Defense. This Sunday we have a home game against division rival, the Detroit Lions, at 10:00am. We need to keep improving and get back in the win column. We all need that…I know I do! The Bears are a team on the rise and we want to keep taking steps forward down the stretch. I’m excited to watch these games and the progress that both our coaching staff and players are making. This Sunday against the Lions in Chicago should be a good game. The Lions are coming off a big win against the Packers and our Bears are gonna come to play in order to stay ahead of the Lions in the division standings.

Come on down to Windy City Pizza, Home of the Bay Area Chicago Bears Fan Club since ’98, to watch our Bears beat the Lions! Congrats to Anne & Edwin, our raffle winners for the Fields jersey, and thank you to everyone who contributed to the raffle, with special thanks to Daniel Kaiser for donating the jersey. Hope all of you can make it down Sunday – the more the merrier!

Let’s Go Bears! Bear Down!

Thanks, Ronnie D.

From Trish:

Good to see some old faces last Sunday. Congrats to Anne and Edwin on winning the #1 Jersey. I have to say Anne must have purchased half of all the tickets sold! In case you didn’t get the word, at the start of the season Dan approached me with the idea to contribute to Windy City’s NFL Sunday Ticket/Direct TV fee ($3,400) by purchasing and contributing the jersey for a separate Bears raffle. After the many hardships of Covid, this was wonderfully thoughtful and very much appreciated. We thank all our fans who purchased tickets, raising exactly $500, which Bob was happy to apply when bill paying! What a great testament to our Bears fans.

Go Bears!
